Covid & Safety

What a joy it will be to sing and enjoy fellowship in person together after so many months of waiting! Amidst all the excitement, we also want to exercise wisdom and care. Our team is tracking the situation with the delta variant of the coronavirus closely, and we are committed to providing a safe environment at the conference events.

Our Prayer for the World

“In my distress I called upon the LORD;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears.”
-Psalm 18:6 (ESV)

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much to those of you who prayed over the past week. We would encourage as many of you as possible to join us in prayer for the next few weeks, and perhaps consider sending this prayer letter to friends, your pastor, church or music team and encourage them to pray.

This week, in the chaos of everything around us, we want to focus on three particular areas:

1. Let’s pray for the people of Afghanistan. The persecution of Christians in that country at this moment is horrific. Our Sing! Conference missions partners, Voice of the Martyrs, have requested everyone to go here for urgent prayer information. We would encourage you to share their prayer points widely. Pray that our righteous and just God would sustain his people in the face of imminent danger. To receive ongoing updates on how to pray as the situation unfolds, please click here

2. Let’s pray for the team at the Getty Music Foundation translating sessions of the upcoming Sing! Conference into ten languages. Pray for James, Daniel, and their team working to provide these resources to so many people and churches around the globe. And pray for a vision that these efforts will only increase, Lord willing, as we continue.

3. Let’s pray for children and young people, and in particular the Children’s Leadership Forum pre-conference on Sunday, September 12. In all the unrest of the past week, we have seen a glimpse of the challenges that will face the next generation, reminding us of the urgent need to build deep believers. One contributing factor to that is singing deep songs of the Lord. The Sunday pre-conference this year is on helping children answer the hard questions of life through the truths and beauty of the great classic hymns. Consider praying for your own children and grandchildren, that the music and lessons gleaned from the pre-conference will have an enduring legacy in their lives. As part of the Children’s Leadership Forum, we will be singing through all the songs on the “Hymns for Home” project – you can start singing along and preparing your hearts by listening on Spotify or Apple Music

Gratefully,
~ Keith and Kristyn

Will You Pray With Us?

Psalm 16:8-9 (ESV)

"I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices...."

Dear Friends,

We are writing to you to ask for your partnership in prayer as we embark on the next five weeks.

This year’s Sing Conference may be the most eagerly anticipated event we have ever been involved in and, as such, is an extraordinary opportunity for ministry at this time. The need to sing, study and refocus our lives, families and churches on Christ Alone is so critical.

Can we ask you to pray for the following things?

1. Pray for the hymns: Our original vision for the Sing! Conference was to spend the 5th year, 2021, “Singing through History,” and we are maintaining that focus with over 30 historic hymns being sung at the conference. (The arrangements of these classic songs will be shared with all participants so they can easily become part of your own church’s ongoing worship.) Pray for depth to the sung worship at the conference, for the joy it will be to add our voices together to this unique congregation, and for the ongoing effects as churches adopt many of these extraordinary hymns as part of their culture.

2. Pray for the conference theme, In Christ Alone: This year’s event celebrates the theme of “In Christ Alone” at this most unusual moment in history. Pray that the Holy Spirit will be our teacher, encourager, comforter and guide as we lift our eyes from the pressures of the pandemic and of all the tensions on churches and the whole world over the past two years. Pray for all our speakers to know fresh depths of insight into God’s Word as they prepare their talks and present the foundation of the great gospel story.

3. Pray for artistry: for the bands, artists, concerts, seminars, composers, orchestra, choir and all those bringing their creative gifting to this year’s conference. May imaginations be inspired and souls be filled by the work of their hands.

4. Pray for children & families: this week we launch registration for the Children’s Leadership Forum which takes place as a pre-conference on Sunday, September 12. This year’s Forum will focus on teaching the next generation of kids to learn the great hymns of the faith and how they help us answer the most difficult questions of life. We will also sing through the new Getty Kids Hymnal project, “Hymns from Home.” Pray for the building up of the next generation of children to have deep faith and godly wisdom through what they sing with all the challenges before them.

5. Pray for our team as we navigate all the preparation and opportunities presented by hosting simultaneous live and online conferences.

With gratitude for your partnership at this time,

~ Keith, Kristyn, and our team

Two New Albums from Getty Music

We are excited to announce that, for the first time ever, we are released two new projects in one day! "Sing! Global Deluxe" and "Hymns from Home" are now available

Hymns from Home | https://store.gettymusic.com/album/getty-kids-hymnal-hymns-from-home/

Sing! Global Deluxe | https://store.gettymusic.com/album/sing-global-deluxe-edition-2/

About Hymns from Home:

We are very excited to release the next album in the Getty Kids Hymnal series. After a year of the pandemic which opened the door to sharing the family hymn sings, so much of our singing has been at home with our kids. So we called the new album ‘Hymns from Home’ - the place where singing begins and is nurtured day by day. These are simple recordings sung by Kristyn and our daughters with a few other special friends. We hope it encourages you as you sing to the Lord with your family. There is an ongoing family hymn of the month resource that links with this new collection of hymns. It is for those who might be interested in going deeper with each hymn!

About Sing! Global Deluxe:

Recorded at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN and around the world, the Sing! Global Deluxe album features 5 never-before released tracks from the Sing! Global Conference 2020. Featuring collaborations with CityAlight, Steven Curtis Chapman, We Are Messengers, Matt Redman, Shane & Shane, Sandra McCracken and many more, our hope is that this album would help us all “let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly… singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Col 3:16).

In-Person: Health & Safety Update

July 5, 2021

We cannot wait to gather for Sing! Global 2021 in Nashville in September to sing in harmony together, hear compelling biblical truths, enjoy artistic inspiration, and be equipped for ministry and missions!

The state of Tennessee and Davidson County (the city of Nashville) have recently lifted all social distancing and mask requirements. Due to these positive developments, our venue is presently not requiring attendees to wear masks.  We will continue to monitor the situation regarding Covid-19 closely in coordination with local officials and the staff of Bridgestone Arena.

Of course, we also welcome those who will choose to wear a mask and will continue to explore ways to prioritize the health and safety of all who attend.  We thank each of you in advance for your flexibility and understanding.

We are grateful for these developments and are excited to share them with you. What a joy it will be to sing the glories of Christ surrounded by thousands of fellow believers! In the wake of the lockdown, we now know how sweet it is to learn from faithful preachers, leaders, and artists—live and in person. (We are also thrilled to still be able to offer a fully immersive online conference experience for those who are unable to travel or prefer to join us from home.)

Please continue praying with us that the Lord will use this event to empower us to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the past year with the hope that comes from Christ alone.
